How to Set the default Finder folder on Mac

How to set the default folder that opens when you open Finder:

1. Open Finder
2. Go to the top menu and click on Finder ❯ Preferences

While inside Finder Preferences click the New Finder windows show dropdown, and choose the folder you want to open up by default from now on when you open Finder:

By default, the dropdown shows you the most popular folders on your Mac, but you can click on Other... to choose a different folder.
